Since long time Michele De Lucchi had begun a particularly stimulating creative path, based on the experiencing of natural materials that are touched, weighed, sectioned and re-compound, interpreted and renovated in new shapes and consistencies within a project of contemporary design. In this experimentation, the designer signed in 2013 “La Palissade”, a pavilion for Pibamarmi created with drilled slates made of limestone and replicating the texture of a wooden palisade.
In an original game of contamination among materials, the setting suggests an encounter between the full solidity of stone and the immaterial lightness of the void, generating suspended modular grids that activate several luminous effects.
