XfafX Festival to design today

In 2011 the Faculty of Architecture at Ferrara University celebrated its 20th anniversary and proved its vitality establishing a rich dialogue with the creative domains of architecture, design and communication. In doing so, it promoted a cultural project of International scope: a one-year-long festival called XfafX – To design today, structured in conferences, workshops and exhibitions.

PibaMarmi supported this initiative that started with a lectio magistralis by Massimiliano Fuksas, followed by the ones of Francisco Mangado, Max Dudler, Snøhetta, Massimo Iosa Ghini, and Guillermo Vazquez Consuegra.

During the festival, on December 13th, Luisa Bocchietto, president of ADI, spoke at the inauguration of the Academic Year of the degree in Industrial Product Design, activated in the University of Ferrara.

The events will continue till June 2012 with an intense series of events, among which Kengo Kuma, Andrea Branzi, and Matteo Thun are planned.
