The new Pibamarmi catalogue

browse news

Studio Variabile has developed the graphic design and layout for the new Pibamarmi catalogue, proposing a complete restyling characterised by minimalism and a contemporary visual style. Organised into sections that highlight the collections, materials and interior design solutions, the catalogue conveys a vision that is deeply rooted in the company’s identity: compared to previous editions, the larger format and the use of generous white space emphasise the text and the quality of the images, showcasing every single piece to its best advantage.

The visual identity draws explicit inspiration from the formal rigour and textural qualities of Japanese culture, echoing the styling of the latest collections and the new Pibamarmi showroom; these Eastern influences reflect a design language that has long been dear to the company, previously explored through the contributions of Hikaru Mori, Go Hasegawa and Tsuyoshi Tane.

This minimalist balance is also reflected in the rational and highly legible typographic choices, achieved through the combination of the Optima and Acumin Pro typefaces, and takes on a tactile dimension in the selection of Fedrigoni papers: Arena Smooth for the crisp, natural-looking inner pages, paired with the more textured, embossed surface of Mistral Stucco Tradition for the cover.
